I honestly didn’t know if this was ever going to come together — and I’ll spare you all the reasons why it almost didn’t — but I am finally heading to L.A. to celebrate the publication of Now You’re One Of Us: The Incredible Story of Redd Kross with my co-authors Jeff and Steven McDonald!
The festivities will occur Thursday evening at Stories Books & Cafe in Echo Park, my old stomping grounds during my last half-decade as a Los Angeles resident. (I did my first-ever book event for Big Hair and Plastic Grass at Stories nearly 15 years ago!)
Jeff, Steven and I will be reading from our book, doing a Q&A with attendees, and signing copies. This has been a long time coming — hell, the book was released back in October — and I’m incredibly excited that we’re able to make this happen. Click on Steven to learn more!
I am also incredibly excited to escape the dreariness of this winter for a little while…and a little joy in these dark times can only be a good thing, So if you’re one of my L.A. area readers, please come on by and say hey.
And if you’re not able to make the scene, please be advised that Now You’re One of Us is back in stock at all online booksellers (including Bookshop.org) and can also be easily special ordered by your local bookshop…
Since I’ll be spending the next five days traveling and reconnecting with L.A. family and friends for the first time in way too long, I most likely won’t be posting again here until sometime next week. But if you’re jonesing for some good JTL content in the meantime, there are over 250 previous posts residing in the JTL archive, almost all of which are still pretty evergreen. Also, if you missed it, check out the episode of CROSSED CHANNELS that my friend
and I did about Redd Kross a few months back…Thanks as always, JTL subscribers, for your readership and support. I’ll see ya back here soon; until then, stay safe, be kind, and look out for each other…
Holy crap, he stole my question!
