My Gawd! Ferrante & Teicher covered "Quiet Village" on the same LP! Taking a page from the Billy Gibbons Depeche songbook, I always thought President Gas by The Psychedelic Furs had a heaviness to it. I could imagine it slowed down twelve bpm's, and tuned down to B. https://youtu.be/mnCmdrJz5zo

Oh yeah — I love their version of "Quiet Village"! And good call on "President Gas"; I used to jam on that a bit with a friend in college, and it could indeed get heavy!
