Great stuff! I've always thought of fire investigation in the same way as archaeology (and now, thanks to you!) record hunting. When digging through a fire scene, the feeling one gets when a significant clue is found is not unlike the feeling of stumbling on a great find at the record store. See also the compunction to whip one's head from side to side as if to say "you guys seeing this?" in both cases.
