I know he gets a lot of knocks for being so, well, Lenny, and for his derivative AF oeuvre, but I still love Always On the Run off the aptly titled Mama Said album. Killer hook and fat groove. Featuring another mama's boy, Slash, with a great guitar solo.

So many of these I'd never heard before ("Philomena" for one, "Cosmic Slop," which I had only heard OF...that's a title that's hard to forget, or Groep 1850!). Mott, Kinks, Cheap Trick, of course, were all ones I previously owned, and was very familiar with! I don't think I'd-a thought of "Surrender," which again, is what makes your list so well thought-out...and "Midnight Special" perf?👍
Yeah - that "Midnight Special" performance really captures everything that was great about Cheap Trick in their prime. Glad to be able to turn you on to a few of these!
