Dan, I enjoy your musings for the most part but as someone who has been involved in politics for a long time, nothings is simple or cut and dried. Nor should you assume that all of your readers share your politics or that those of us who don’t are any less bright or patriotic than you are.

I’m not assuming anything - merely stating my opinions, which I’m allowed to do just as you’re allowed to disagree with them.

There is nothing Dan wrote about politics in that opening that isn't absolutely true.

And I'm sorry, supporting a guy who gave desperately needed COVID tests to Putin instead of the American people isn't patriotic.

Amen, Tommy... Or, for that matter, supporting a guy who tried to overturn (and is still denying the results of) the last election, is spreading disruptive lies about the government's disaster response to the last two hurricanes, etc. etc.

I'm a person who by nature tries to avoid confrontation, but I've begun feeling like why do I need to be polite while the "f**k your feelings" crowd gets to spew? What they're supporting is so egregious, they should be shamed by it every time they open their mouths (or laptops).

I hear ya, but in some ways the "Well, actually" crowd is even worse. Here we have TFG swaying onstage and staring off into space for nearly 40 minutes, behaving like san older relative you wouldn't trust behind the wheel of a car — much less with a nuclear arsenal — and yet there are all these folks still downplaying/sanewashing/making excuses for his behavior. Because, you know, "nothing is simple or cut and dried"...

Right on, Marco — have fun in London! Don't know where you'll be working/staying, but if you find yourself any where near the Anglesea Arms in South Kensington, I highly recommend grabbing a bite and a pint there; easily the best meal I had when I was last in London, and they usually have lotsa good vegan/veggie options.

And the surprise hero of the MC5 book: Lieutenant Staudenmaier!

Thank you for the spot-on evaluation of ‘Cloud Eleven Goes Latin’, Dan. It was a fun trip back in time making this thing, and I’m very happy that you’re enjoying it. I can’t wait to dig in to your Redd Kross book when it comes out!

Yo Dan… I’m in Castlemaine Australia, with my good mates Craig and Michael, who say “c’mon down”. It’s right outside Bendigo where JLD “ait the baibee!” No one talks about it here.

But Goodonya for the new book. The early reviews are great. Last night I had a dream about you at 10 blithely ignoring my entreaties to do your homework. JTL answers all my questions about where I “went wrong” and what you were thinking. Keep doing what you do. 😅❤️🤜🤛
