Thanks for sharing this Album, Dan. I love the title and the album cover art. There is definitely something catchy about their music.
Re collaboration, it means many things to me. Doing collab with my peers locally has been difficult. I'm talking about cowriting, which is perhaps something different again. There is usually a dominant person and as we are frequently defensive of our own creations, it is hard to accept someone else's contributions unless you are really in sync. I'm speaking in terms of a songwriter, as opposed to arranging in a band. The negative connotation to me is the Nashville environment where artists add a couple of words or licks to a budding songwriters work in exchange for their name and a big chunk of the royalties if it ever goes somewhere, but I digress.....
Yeah, those are all valid points. It’s difficult for two people to steer the ship simultaneously, especially when it comes to something like songwriting.
Oh man Dan you’re right. 🤯 This album is such a fun listen. Zero pretense, just fun songs and amazing chemistry. It’s over before you know it and you can easily just start it over from the top.
As someone whose tastes are also "all over the fucking place," I think(?) that we're more the rule than the exception. Maybe I'm reading the tea leaves wrong, but in my experience there's a huge appetite for writing/creating that reflects that, rather than a narrow menu of picks that gatekeepers have decided we all "need" to be listening to.
Adding this to my to-listen list, thanks!
Cool - let me know whatchoo think!
Cool rekkid, thanks for turning me on to it.
My pleasure!

Just finished listening and I love it! Spot on comparison to Nancy & Lee. Just ordered a vinyl copy and can’t wait for it to arrive.
Right on! Enjoy!

Totally — and I've done that many times since I first got it!
