I was surprised by how many Oasis songs I was already familiar with, particularly from the Morning Glory album. I’m with you Dan that Don’t Look Back in Anger is my favorite. I actually like Noel’s voice more than Liam’s, though Liam’s is instantly recognizable. Thanks for another great podcast. Didn’t want to archive it without at least putting down a comment.

When I was listening to their first two albums, I thought I’d mention hearing some similarities in some of Coldplay’s songs. Just thought I’d throw that out there.

As far as future podcasts go, I am always intrigued by the Delta Blues influence on the early British rock and roll music and how that came about.

Hey Jim, thanks from Dan's co-host for listening and commenting. Noel's voice is a welcome change on 'Don't Look Back' but listening to their solo albums, Liam's lasts the distance better. As for the Coldplay comparison, don't tell Oasis! Their label boss Alan McGee infamously called Coldplay "bedwetters' music"!

And thanks for the good idea re the Delta Blues.

And if you're not also over at my Wordsmith page already, please do subscribe - you seem like someone I would love to have on board.

Cheers,

Tony
