I was lucky to get to interview Lou in person for my podcast in 2023. Definitely worth a listen - absolutely fascinating conversation. https://lnk.to/BeMl1f
A wonderful tribute! My only real exposure to him was occasionally hearing "Lightnin' Strikes" or "Two Faces Have I" on the oldies station in my hometown, but he still cut a figure with that voice. (It's amazing to me that there are and have been men in the world who can sing that high.) But clearly there's a lot of him about that needs to be reconsidered...
Wow, what a way to start a Friday - I feel like I had bit of LSD after all that! Thanks for the LC tutorial Dan, I didn't know much about him until now. Those packaging videos are fantastic, and I've always wanted to know how those automated shoe shine machines worked. Best Patty & Selma reference ever!
I don't know what kind of pecorino romano you're sniffin' but I have to agree with your friend Garrick that reading this piece made me high as Lou's falsetto. Truly inspired, you did him proud.
Great introduction to the magical world of Lou Christie. "I'll Make you Mine, reminds me of another song, but I can't place it. Did Manfred Mann cover it, or some other British Invasion band?

Very cool - can’t wait to listen!
Great interview, Pete — I could have sat through another two hours, easily!

Love me some Lou Christie -- thanks for this thoughtful review.

HA! Thank you, Dr!
Wow thanks so much for that Lou deep dive. I have that Paint America Love record but that Genesis tune blew me away.

The only cover that I’m familiar with is from the mid-70s, by the Love Generation… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfxrEBk4f4g
