Awesome, thank you Dan! Nice to hear someone ask about Greg Shaw! I remember going to some house in the Hollywood Hills where Sky Saxon asked my girlfriend and I to show up to do some backing vocals, although it was just a party. There was nothing productive happening. I remember later years the parties at the Wilcox House, Jeff and Steve were always there...where Perry Farrel lived, pre Janes Addiction. I cannot wait to get the book, I will probably read it within two days. Thanks for the memories.
Oh I would love to hear it. I saw him alot at shows in the 90's during the britpop era. In fact we went to see the Kitchens of Distinction at The Palace and he introduced me to one of his x wives Nancy whom became my best friend. I left L.A. in 98 and Greg and I kept in touch by email until his untimely death. Getting back to the boys here I was just about to open up the Rod Stewart article...I have been a die hard Rod fan since a teen...I see what they did there in the title, my yearbook one year was full of that rumor. I couldn't read it cause I am a slacker subscriber...
So cool, now I don't have to try and remember everything from that night myself! It was a great read, Q & A, a great gathering all around, including even some mysterious and bloody punk rock violence...
I wasn’t there, but now I feel like I was! So cool Dan, thanks for making this available to view. I’ve read the book twice already, such a fun read! I’ve also been on a huge Redd Kross kick because of it. So many great albums. Jeff McDonald is one of my favorite lead singers now and Steve McDonald is such a great bass player, on a Dennis Dunaway level. I’ve recently acquired Third Eye (my favorite, just because it was my first album of theirs) on vinyl and also just got the ‘RED’ album on vinyl. I have to say, that latest album is one of their best, outstanding! I also just found the Ze Malibu Kids CD, that’s a hard one to find! I hope they continue to release new Redd Kross albums, they are on a roll!
Right on, Rick! I'm sorry you couldn't make the scene, but I'm happy to be able to share this with you. And yeah, I agree with you on the 'RED' album — it's a truly outstanding piece of work!
Congrats. And I can’t wait to read. “I’ll take your word for it” was one of my favorite songs last year
So great, right?
Truth! 🤘🎸
Sick! I'm pretty sure I'll be reading that book in the near future.
Right on!

My pleasure, Lori! I did a really fun interview with Greg for the Weekly about 25 years ago - I’m trying to find the tape of it as we speak!

Thanks. That was so fine. And so much fun for folks like us who couldn’t be there. And good on you for defending Yoko!
Thanks for sharing, love the book!
Thanks, Mickey!
