Thank you for the history lesson. I love how the column is named after a song. I am using song titles for a lot to title my posts. This was a great write.
Mad props, yo! Thanks, Dan, for the shout-out...delighted my little words of appreciation could catapult JTL into what I suppose is the rarified air usually reserved for 'Stack's checkmark book authors!😉Easily well-deserved, and it's a pleasure to have another music writer who's just not satisfied with dropping a Playlist and calling it a day!
I must call attention to what has to be some sort of serendipity of sorts (and there's nothing like musical serendipity...I slam into it, thankfully, almost daily when I write!) that you started in August, too....except MY August was in '21, so there's that! Perhaps appropriate for a couple of august music scribes!😁 In one day, you managed to eclipse the number of subbies it's taken me just shy of two years to accumulate!
But, it's all about finding one's audience, and they appear to be gathering. For music. For depth. For quality. For both of us.🎉🍾🥂L'chaim.
I love your content and look forward to your posts. Huge music fan myself. I own my own radio station in Manchester, UK. You’d love it. It’s very, very eclectic and no ads, news, weather and travel.
I loved hearing many of these songs for the first time, but I was particularly intrigued by the one by The Move, a group that I’d never heard of before, so of course, I got on Wikipedia as I’m won’t to do to find out more about them. And lo and behold, I find the connection between them and ELO, one of my favorites! I subscribed then and there. Thanks for the great article!

Right on, brother! 🍻

Very cool, Rick - is there a way to hear it online?
If you are outside the UK you could try downloading the app The Buzz Mcr and see if it lets you. Otherwise play.thebuzzmcr.com should work.

Right on, Jim! I’m a huge Move (and ELO) fan, so I’m happy to spread awareness of them!
